Lighthouse Point

Lighthouse Point is a beautiful tiny town nestled up against the Intracoastal and the beach just north of Fort Lauderdale and Pompano Beach. Boaters love the quaint canals, navigable waterways and waterfront homes.

On June 13, 1956, the Town of Lighthouse Point came into being when 107 of about 600 people living here voted to incorporate.    Nowadays the community is known as a relaxed, seaside vacation escape with about 10,000 year-round residents.   Most of the town is nestled quite near the ocean and does not extend westward very far like other nearby communities.   All of Lighthouse Point is situated east of Federal Highway (US-1) and most homes are either directly on water or nearby.   With such proximity to the ocean or the IntraCoastal, condominiums are the predominant housing available, with a smaller selection of homes, townhomes and rentals available.
